Other ways to give

Stock gifts and planned gifts to Multnomah County Library allows you to direct your resources in a way that expresses your values.

Planned gifts, large and small, ensure that our library will thrive for generations to come. There are a number of ways to give, including:

  • Making The Library Foundation a beneficiary or alternate beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement plan, or bank account.​

  • A deferred gift through a vehicle such as a charitable trust.

Below is an example of wording that might be used to designate a fixed sum or percentage of your assets to The Library Foundation. A financial planner or estate attorney can explain more about your options, or you can view our Frequently Asked Questions for more detail.

"I give to The Library Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, 620 SW Fifth Avenue Suite 1025, Portland, OR 97204, (Federal Tax I.D. #93-1190983) the amount of $_______ or ______% of the residue of my estate for purposes deemed appropriate by the Board of Trustees."
