MORE THAN BOOKS AND BUILDINGS
Learning for life
Multnomah County Library helps each person in our community explore worlds and cultures beyond their front door. Our library is a bustling hub of events and activities, offering free access to arts, culture, and humanities programs. Foundation support helps the library expand these programs, bringing people of all ages together to learn, discuss, and reflect on topics that affect our world.
Last year, gifts to The Library Foundation reached 22,300 teens, adults, and seniors through programs, workshops, and events. Whether attending a symphony performance at Central Library, taking part in a "memory cafe" designed to support the families of those struggling with dementia, or engaging in a community-wide conversation through Everybody Reads, these programs add to the depth and richness of our lives.
