The Library Foundation’s goal is to forge a long-term partnership with you, supporters of the library and donors to The Library Foundation. We are committed to respecting the privacy of all donors and library supporters.
Personal Information
The Library Foundation collects personal information of donors, prospective donors, and others who interact with The Library Foundation. Personal information we may collect includes details such as your name, demographic information, contact information (such as address, email, and phone number), giving history, philanthropic interests, event and volunteer participation, correspondence and communication records, and any other personal data you may disclose to us. We also indirectly collect personal information through the use of tracking technologies and cookies as described below.
We may use your personal information for the purposes of donor services and engagement, donation processing and management, communication and outreach, and legal compliance and documentation (such as preparing and filing necessary reports with the IRS and other federal or state agencies and fulfilling any other legal obligations).
In order to increase support for the library and keep costs low, The Library Foundation may engage in mutually beneficial partnerships, contracts, or exchanges with other nonprofit organizations. The Library Foundation does not otherwise sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Online Donations
Your online donations are safe and secure. The Library Foundation uses industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect the confidentiality of your personal information and the security of your transaction. The Library Foundation sends a written receipt to online donors. All online transactions are confirmed by follow-up email.
IP addresses
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer the website, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.
Cookies
Our website uses ​“cookie” messages to automatically help provide better services. Cookies let us take you to the information and features you’re particularly interested in.
