Help our library expand and modernizing for the future

Our library is quite literally running out of room. Physically constrained, it is unable to meet the growing demands of our community. We want to change that. If you'd like to be a part of our vision, here's how you can help:

Make your presence felt

January 30, 2020, the Multnomah County Board of County Commissioners will hear a proposal to address our library's space and facility limitations. It is the result of four years of in-depth work.

On February 20, 2020, the Multnomah County Board of County commissioners will vote on whether or not to refer a funding measure to the November 2020 ballot. Based on the proposal presented on January 20th, this measure would allow our library to update community spaces and handling facilities, and add critical square footage to smaller libraries that serve our most vulnerable populations. We want to pack the room with like-minded folks who believe in the power of libraries to change lives.

The Library Foundation is the nonprofit that Multnomah County Library management has designated to receive bequests and other planned gifts for the library. Naming The Library Foundation as a beneficiary (see language here) will enable you to remember the library, and, in some instances, receive tax benefits.
