The simplest way to make a planned gift is to name The Library Foundation in your will.
Gifts large and small help our library remain strong.
A financial planner or estate attorney can explain more about other options, or you can view our Notes on Planned Giving for more detail.
Sample wording for your will:
“I give to The Library Foundation. Inc., a nonprofit corporation, 620 SW Fifth Avenue, Suite 1025, Portland, OR 97204, (Federal Tax I.D. # 93-1190983), the amount of $ ______ or _____ % of the residue of my estate for purposes deemed appropriate by the Board of Trustees."
Another easy way to give is through your retirement plan or insurance policy. Naming The Library Foundation as a beneficiary makes it possible to remember the library, while receiving some tax benefits.
