THE CAMPAIGN FOR A LIFETIME OF LITERACY
With the close of this campaign, we have helped our library reach more children and families than any other literacy effort in the state. Last year alone, we helped our library reach more than 130,000 children and parents. During The Campaign for a Lifetime of Literacy, The Library Foundation has raised more than $11.9 million in cash and $4.2 in in-kind support for the library – a total of $16 million.
Foundation receives coveted 4-star rating
The Library Foundation has received the highest rating given by Charity Navigator, the largest and most well known charity watchdog organization in the nation. The 4-star rating is considered a strong indicator of an organization’s ability to efficiently manage and grow its finances and demonstrates to the public that it is worthy of their trust. The Library Foundation is one of only 13 Portland non-profits to receive their highest rating.
