Fund Buildings
Reading translates to healthier economies, better neighborhoods and promising futures. Libraries bring vitality, a sense of community, as well as learning and arts and cultural activities to neighborhoods.
The Library Foundation's first project raised private support to enhance the renovation and preservation of our beautiful Central Library, completed in 1997. Shortly after that came a branch renovation campaign in which private support from the foundation enhanced the library's construction and renovation in several neighborhoods. Recently, two new branch libraries, one in Kenton and one in Troutdale, were built in underserved neighborhoods.
