A crowd gathers outside downtown Portland's Multnomah County Library main branch every morning, waiting with anticipation like they were preparing to storm a rock concert.
"Its awesome," said John Cabrera, a library administrator who often witnesses the morning deluge.
It's that kind of library patron passion that has, for the eighth year in a row, recorded the highest circulation in the nation for libraries serving fewer than 1 million residents, the library reported Thursday. Read more. >>
