Foundation receives highest rating for third year
July 6, 2009 - For the third consecutive year, The Library Foundation has received the highest rating given by Charity Navigator, the largest charity watchdog organization in the nation. The Library Foundation is one of only 18 Portland nonprofits to receive the highest rating, and only one of six to receive the rating for three years in a row. Nationwide, only three library foundations have received four stars, the highest rating given by Charity Navigator.
Charity Navigator works to advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace by evaluating the financial health of America’s largest nonprofits. The four-star rating indicates an organization's ability to efficiently manage and grow its finances and demonstrates to the public that it is worthy of their trust. |
