Bank of America gift boosts early learning
July 10, 2009 - Bank of America has given $15,000 to The Library Foundation in support of Multnomah County Library’s far-reaching, highly-effective early literacy program, Raising A Reader.
Raising A Reader is the library’s largest early literacy effort, reaching 33,500 at-risk children and their parents last year. The program works through over 400 community partners to help parents become reading role models. Annual evaluation proves the program increases family reading that supports lifelong literacy.
